The calendar is your command center for content scheduling. Every post you’ve queued — across all your connected social channels — appears in one unified view, so you can spot gaps, avoid overlap, and plan your publishing cadence without juggling spreadsheets or separate tools.

Switching views

Volta’s calendar supports two display modes. Toggle between them using the Week and Month buttons in the top-right corner of the calendar.
  • Week view — shows every day of the current week with hourly time slots. Best for fine-tuning exact publish times.
  • Month view — shows all days in the current month at a glance. Best for reviewing overall publishing density and spotting quiet days.
Use the arrow buttons to navigate forward and backward in time. Click Today to jump back to the current date.

Viewing scheduled posts

Each scheduled post appears as a colored block on its publish date and time. The block shows the channel name (or icon) and a short preview of the post content. Click any block to open the post detail panel, where you can edit content, change the publish time, or delete the post.
Posts in Draft status appear on the calendar with a dimmed style so you can distinguish them from fully scheduled content.

Creating a post from the calendar

You don’t have to go through the main compose button to create a post. Click any empty time slot on the calendar to open the compose window with that date and time pre-filled. Select your channel(s), write your content, and save — the post will appear on the calendar immediately.

Rescheduling posts

To change when a post is published, click its block on the calendar to open the post detail panel, then edit the scheduled date and time and save your changes.
Drag-and-drop rescheduling is coming in a future update. For now, open the post detail panel to change the publish time — the same panel where you can also edit content or delete the post.

Filtering the calendar

Use the filter bar above the calendar to narrow down what’s shown:
  • By channel — show only posts scheduled for a specific connected account
  • By tag — filter to posts you’ve labeled with a particular tag
  • By status — show only Scheduled, Draft, or Published posts
You can combine filters. Click Clear filters to reset to the full view.

Color coding channels

Each channel in the calendar can display its own color so you can tell at a glance which platform a post belongs to. Colors are set per-channel and stored in your browser’s local storage — they’re personal to you and won’t affect what teammates see. To set a channel color, open the channel selector or settings panel and choose a color from the picker next to that channel’s name.
Posts can also be scheduled, rescheduled, and managed programmatically via the Volta REST API and MCP server — ideal for automated publishing workflows driven by AI agents or CI pipelines. See the API reference and MCP server docs to get started.
