# Reset your PostSider password

> How to reset a forgotten PostSider password when email is configured.

## Reset a forgotten password

1. On the sign-in screen, click **Forgot password?**.
2. Enter the email address on your account and submit.
3. Check your inbox for the reset email (allow-list the PostSider domain; the link is single-use).
4. Open the link and choose a new password of at least 8 characters.

For security, PostSider shows the same "check your email" confirmation whether or not the account exists, so the reset flow does not reveal registered addresses.

## The link does not work or no email arrived

* Re-request a reset link from the sign-in screen.
* Confirm the instance has email configured: Cloud uses Resend; self-hosted instances need `RESEND_API_KEY` (or SMTP) plus a sender address, and `DISABLE_REGISTRATION`/email settings do not affect reset delivery.
* If it still fails, contact [support](mailto:contact@postsider.com) (Cloud) or your instance operator (self-hosted).
