# Create a PostSider account

> Sign up for PostSider Cloud, what you need to register, and the automatic trial.

Create your PostSider Cloud account at [app.postsider.com](https://app.postsider.com).

## What you need

* Your name
* An **organization name** (at least 3 characters) - this becomes your workspace
* A valid email address
* A password of at least 8 characters

You can also sign in with **Google** to create an account in one step.

## What happens after sign-up

1. Your organization is created with a **7-day Standard trial** (once per email address).
2. You land on a short welcome flow, then are taken to the calendar to connect your first channel.
3. The calendar shows a setup checklist: connect a channel, write a post, and set posting times.

If your instance requires email activation (self-hosted with `REQUIRE_EMAIL_ACTIVATION=true`), check your inbox for a confirmation link before signing in.

## Self-hosted instances

On a self-hosted instance there is no public sign-up by default. The first administrator is created with the bootstrap command instead, which prints a one-time password. See [Self-Hosting](/self-hosting) for the bootstrap steps.
