# Account Settings and Security

> Edit your profile, choose email notifications, change your password, and manage the account danger zone.

**Settings → General** manages your personal profile and notifications. **Settings → Security** covers your password and the account danger zone.

## Profile

* **Name** and **last name** - shown to teammates.
* **Personal timezone** - used for your own calendar and analytics views.
* **Bio** - an optional short description.
* **Email** - read-only; change it through account recovery if needed.

## Email notifications

Choose which emails you receive:

| Preference     | Trigger                                    |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| Success emails | A scheduled post publishes successfully. |
| Failure emails | A scheduled post fails to publish. |
| Streak emails | Reminders based on your publishing streak. |

## Change password

Under **Settings → Security**, enter your current password and a new one (at least 8 characters). After changing it you must sign in again.

## Danger zone

Both actions require typing a confirmation word, because they are destructive:

* **Disconnect all channels** - removes every connected channel and its associated posts from the organization.
* **Delete account** - permanently deletes the organization, its channels, posts, media records, API keys, and subscription. A Polar subscription is cancelled as part of the process.

<Warning>
  Deleting your account is irreversible. Uploaded files in your storage bucket are not removed automatically, and deleting does not reset the trial for the same email address.
</Warning>

## Not available yet

Two-factor authentication (2FA) and session management lists are not currently offered. Logging out clears the local session cookie; sessions are stateless and there is no server-side revocation.
