# PostSider Glossary

> Definitions of the terms PostSider uses: channel, integration, post, queue, slot, evergreen, first comment, and more.

* **Channel** - a connected social media, messaging, or publishing account that posts can be published to. In the API and database, channels are called **integrations**.
* **Integration** - the API term for a connected channel (`integration.id`, `GET /public/v1/integrations`).
* **Post** - a unit of content scheduled for one or more channels, with text, media, a date, and per-channel settings.
* **Draft** - a saved post that is not scheduled and will not be published (API state `DRAFT`).
* **Queue** - the publishing schedule. A post in the queue (API state `QUEUE`) is picked up by a worker at its scheduled time.
* **Slot** - a free time in a channel's posting queue. `GET /public/v1/find-slot/:id` returns the next one.
* **Queue plan** - per-channel posting times and weekdays used to find free slots.
* **Smart Slots** - a "suggest best time" feature that blends provider peak-hour heuristics with the channel's own posting rhythm.
* **Evergreen** - content marked for automatic recycling into future queue slots on a cadence.
* **First comment** - an optional comment published right after the main post, where the platform supports it (for example Instagram hashtags).
* **Post group** - a set of linked posts managed together, such as the parts of a thread.
* **Channel group** - a named set of channels you publish to together. In some API responses it is called a **customer**.
* **Approval** - the optional workflow where a draft is submitted for review before it can be scheduled.
* **Organization** - a workspace containing channels, posts, settings, and members; an account can belong to several.
* **API key** - an organization credential sent in the `Authorization` header to authenticate public API requests.
* **Webhook** - an HTTPS endpoint PostSider calls when a post is published.
